Witness in Palestine: Anna In the Middle East

Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD)
From their site: A non-violent, direct-action group originally established to oppose and resist Israeli demolition of Palestinian houses in the Occupied Territories. As our activists gained direct knowledge of the brutalities of the Occupation, we expanded our resistance activities to other areas - land expropriation, settlement expansion, by-pass road construction, policies of "closure" and "separation," the wholesale uprooting of fruit and olive trees and more.

Gush Shalom

From their site: Gush Shalom ("The Peace Bloc") is the hard core of the Israeli peace movement, known for its unwavering stand in times of crisis, such as the al-Aksa intifada.  For years now, Gush Shalom has played a leading role in determining the moral and political agenda of the peace forces in Israel, as well as in breaking the so-called "national consensus" based on misinformation.

B'tselem: Is
raeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories
     From their site:
B'tselem was established in 1989 by a group of prominent academics, attorneys, journalists, and Knesset members. It endeavors to document and educate the Israeli public and policymakers about human rights violations in the Occupied Territories, combat the phenomenon of denial prevalent among the Israeli public, and help create a human rights culture in Israel. B'Tselem in Hebrew literally means "in the image of," and is also used as a synonym for human dignity.

Parents Circle - Families Forum (PCFF)
Parents Circle - Families Forum (PCFF) is a grassroots organization of  bereaved Palestinians and Israelis. The PCFF promotes reconciliation as an alternative to hatred and revenge.
"Peace is possible when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable (…) the members of the Parents Circle have experienced this truth In the depths of their Suffering and loss.  They have found that there Is more that unites us than Divides us, that we are All members of one family, the human family (…)"
- Desmond M. Tutu, Archbishop Emeritus
It is, as far as we know, a world precedent that bereaved families, victims from both sides, embark on a joint reconciliation mission while the conflict is still active.
Consisting of several hundreds of bereaved families, half Palestinian and half Israeli, The Families Forum has played a crucial role since its inception in 1995, in spearheading a reconciliation process between Israelis and Palestinians. The Forum members have all lost immediate family members due to the violence in the region.

Palestinian Campaign for the Academic & Cultural Boycott of Israel
From their site: The Palestinian Campaign is inspired by the historic role played by people of conscience in the international community of scholars and intellectuals who have shouldered the moral responsibility to fight injustice, as exemplified in their struggle to abolish apartheid in South Africa through diverse forms of boycott.

Breaking the Silence
Breaking the Silence is an organization of veteran Israeli soldiers that collects testimonies of soldiers who served in the Occupied Territories during the Second Intifadah. Soldiers who serve in the Territories are witness to, and participate in military actions which change them immensely.
Cases of abuse towards Palestinians, looting, and destruction of property have been the norm for years, but are still excused as military necessities, or explained as extreme and unique cases. Our testimonies portray a different and grim picture of questionable orders in many areas regarding Palestinian civilians. These demonstrate the depth of corruption which is spreading in the Israeli military.
Breaking the Silence voices the experiences of those soldiers, in order to force Israeli society to address the reality which it created.

The Electronic Intifada

From their site: The Electronic Intifada publishes news, commentary, analysis, and reference materials about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict from a Palestinian perspective. EI is the leading Palestinian portal for information about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its depiction in the media.

Stop the Wall
The grassroots Palestinian Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign.
A coalition of Palestinian non governmental organizations and popular committees that mobilize and coordinate efforts on local, national and international levels. These efforts are focused upon stopping and dismantling the Apartheid Wall, and resisting Israeli occupation and colonization.
The Campaign initiated its work on three levels: acting as the voice of communities locally; mobilization and coordination nationally; and additionally as part of the global struggle against colonization, war and racism.
Since its inception the Campaign has been the main national grassroots body mobilizing and organizing resistance against the Apartheid Wall. It presently coordinates the work of 54 popular committees in communities which will be (and are being) destroyed by the Wall.

The Union of Palestinian Medical Relief Committees

A grassroots, community-based Palestinian health organization, seeking to supplement the decayed and inadequate health infrastructure caused by years of Israeli military occupation.

Jewish Voice for Peace
